Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ReviewWheel uses cookies and similar technologies on
reviewwheel.com and related sites. It supplements our
Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (pixels, local storage, tags) work the same way. They help sites function, remember preferences, and understand usage.
2. How we use them
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Strictly necessary: to make the site work (page delivery, security, load balancing via our hosting/CDN). These can't be switched off.
- Analytics / performance: to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We use Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics and records events such as page views and interactions with tools on the site.
- Referral attribution: if you arrive through a customer's invite link, a first-party cookie (
rw_ref, 90 days) remembers their referral code so both of you can be credited for the referral if it qualifies under our Terms (§5.7). It contains only the code, not personal information. - Advertising: the Meta Pixel records visits and actions on our sites, such as a signup or a purchase, so we can measure our Meta ads and show them to people likely to be interested.
We do not sell your personal information. Our use of the Meta Pixel may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws. See Section 4 to opt out, and our Privacy Policy (Section 5) for what we send to Meta.
3. First- and third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by us (first-party); others are set by third parties whose tools we use (e.g., Google and Meta). Third-party cookies are governed by those providers' policies.
4. How to control cookies
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
- Google Analytics opt-out: you can install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Interest-based ads: opt out at optout.aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu, or change your ad settings in your Meta account.
- Meta sharing from our servers: email privacy@reviewwheel.com and we will stop sending your information from our servers to Meta.
5. Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control
Many browsers offer Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Our sites do not yet change their behavior based on these signals. To opt out of the Meta sharing described above, use the options in Section 4.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy; the updated version posts with a new effective date.
